Engaging email marketing designs
Whilst working at Concrete PR I was tasked with creating a strong image for knowledge magazine's 25th anniversary launch.
This design would accompany the monthly email marketing campaigns and a link to an exclusive members only DJ mix that had never been distributed in digital format before.
The brief?
Be engaging but not overbearing, reminiscent but not outdated, informative but not a lecture.
With no previous artwork to go off, and the rights to the photo's original magazine covers needing clearance and potential payment it became apparent that a new design and layout approach would be needed.
Thus, the decision to combine both the DJ mix and magazine format (which were released as a cassette & magazine combination originally) became the leading role in the design style. Highlighting key information in red and giving the overall artwork a monochromatic theme meant that even on a quick open and close of the email would give the mailing list all the information they needed, straight away.
Event posters and social media tiles
Alongside the 25th anniversary of Knowledge magazine was an action packed club event. With a simple industrial design which resonated with Drum & Bass it also lends itself to longevity, echoing the sentiment of the "25 years"...
